喜報(bào)-深圳（南山）中加學(xué)校40名高三畢業(yè)生獲阿爾伯塔大學(xué)錄取

截至5月6日，我校高三共有40名應(yīng)屆畢業(yè)生收到了加拿大阿爾伯塔大學(xué)(University of Alberta)的錄取通知書(shū)，他們分別是：

阿爾伯塔大學(xué)是坐落于加拿大阿爾伯塔省會(huì)城市埃德蒙頓的一所世界著名大學(xué)。該校成立于1908年，多年來(lái)穩(wěn)居加拿大研究型大學(xué)前十，是加拿大頂尖的研究型大學(xué)和世界百?gòu)?qiáng)名校之一。

The University of Alberta (founded in 1908) is a public research university located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The university is considered a “Comprehensive academic and research university” (CARU), which means that it offers a range of academic and professional programs, which generally lead to undergraduate and graduate level credentials, and have a strong research focus.

阿爾伯塔大學(xué)是加拿大五所最大的以科研為主的綜合性大學(xué)之一，其科研水平居加拿大大學(xué)隊(duì)伍的前列。大學(xué)提供200多個(gè)本科學(xué)位，170多個(gè)研究生學(xué)位，70多個(gè)博士學(xué)位，涉及研究領(lǐng)域 275 個(gè)。該大學(xué)的教授數(shù)量位居加拿大第五，其中有3位加拿大卓越首席研究教授。全加拿大僅27位教授擁有此頭銜。

The University of Alberta is one of Canada's five largest comprehensive universities focusing on scientific research. The university offers more than 200 undergraduate degrees, 170 graduate degrees and 70 doctoral degrees, covering 275 research fields. The university has Canada's fifth largest number of professors, with three professors who holds the title of Canada Excellence Research Chairs. Only 27 professors hold this title across Canada.

在北美400多所工程學(xué)院中，阿爾伯塔大學(xué)的工程學(xué)院穩(wěn)穩(wěn)地排名前5%。在近年的QS世界大學(xué)排行榜中，阿爾伯塔大學(xué)的工程學(xué)院在化學(xué)工程和土木及結(jié)構(gòu)工程的學(xué)科排名中穩(wěn)居前100名。阿爾伯塔大學(xué)工程學(xué)院歷經(jīng)了100多年的風(fēng)雨，從第一次世界大戰(zhàn)中聲納研究到今天的跨學(xué)科研究，從油砂技術(shù)到星際探索，每一次重要的歷史階段阿爾伯塔大學(xué)工程學(xué)院都發(fā)揮著他主角的重要作用。

Of the more than 400 engineering schools in North America, the University of Alberta's engineering school is firmly in the top 5%. In the recent QS World University Rankings, it has been consistently ranked in the top 100 in the disciplines of chemical engineering and civil engineering. The school of engineering of the University of Alberta has a history of more than 100 years. From sonar research in the first world war to interdisciplinary research today, from oil sands technology to interstellar exploration, it has played an important role in every important historical stage.
