廣州加拿大人國際學校學院爭霸賽:培養(yǎng)學生的團隊協作能力和體育競技精神

加油!加油!加油!加油!上周五,廣州加拿大國際學校的校園上空回蕩著助威吶喊的聲音,這是學院委員會組織的首次學院趣味運動會,同學們一起揮灑汗水,發(fā)揚運動精神!


Go Wolves! Go Elks! Go Pandas! Go Dragons!


Those were the jubilant cheers echoing around the CIS campus last Friday during our very first ‘House Wars’, an event organized by the House Committee to bring the whole school community together in a spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Why Do We Implement the CIS House System?

學院制度如何打造國際社區(qū)?

The whole School House System promotes a stronger and more inclusive sense of community and supports personal, social and academic growth. Through sporting, academic and artistic endeavors, the house system encourages positive self-esteem, self-identity, belonging, integrity and pride amongst all learners at CIS.


The four houses will compete over the year to earn points through positive behavior of students and house competitions. The house with the most points at the end of the year, wins the House Cup!


With peer support to help promote positive mental health, behavior and most of all, fun, our house system is just another way that we build a caring learning community at CIS and support our motto of 'Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow’.


學院系統讓學校大家庭更加強大和包容,支持每位同學的社交和學術成長。通過體育、學術和藝術方面的提升,同學們的自尊、自我認同、歸屬感、正義感和自豪感也相應提升。


四個學院將在一年中通過積極的行為和比賽勝利獲得積分,而在年底積分最多的學院將贏得學院杯!


通過小伙伴的彼此支持關懷,同學們的心理和身體都更加健康,找到校園生活的樂趣。這也是我們建立關愛型學習社區(qū)的另一種方式,讓同學們成為“今朝學子,未來領袖”。



Promoting Sportsmanship

發(fā)揚體育精神,友誼第一

The House Wars sports competition involved the whole school participation, all the way from our young ECE learners to High School students. Activity stations such as tug-of-war, three-legged race, soccer and so on, were set up all over the campus. Our Secondary students also helped lead those stations and act as scorekeepers. It was an exciting afternoon filled with cheers, laughter and fun!


這次趣味運動會吸引了全校的參與,從可愛的幼兒園孩子們到高中生。校園各處設有活動站點,同學們不僅作為運動員參與了拔河、兩人三足、足球等趣味運動,中學部的同學們還擔任記分員,主持所有的運動站點。整個下午充滿了熱烈的歡呼聲、笑聲和無窮樂趣!



After 2 hours of fierce competition, the winning team was the Elks! It is important to note however, that winning is secondary, that it is what we learn and gain from the process that is most important. This sentiment is communicated and exemplified by all staff to the student body.


經過兩個小時的激烈競爭,熱烈祝賀Elk學院獲得趣味運動會第一名!不過比獲勝更重要的是,我們見證了同學們日益增強的集體意識和友誼。勝利是次要的,更重要的是我們把歸屬感傳遞給了整個學校大家庭。
