BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour enters its third year in August, 2020. With the joint efforts of teachers, students, staff and parents, we have gradually emerged as a rising star in the field of international education. Because of the pandemic, 2020 was an unprecedented time in the history for us as a boarding school. However, all of us have come together as one and prevailed with perseverance, resilience and determination in times of adversity.

In the year of 2020-2021, we have welcomed a new Head of School, some new teachers, and of course many new students! BIPH now has a total of 121 teaching members, including 71 expatriate teachers who hold degrees in the subjects that they teach. 7 of them hold a doctorate degree, 47 hold a master’s degree and 33 hold a bachelor’s degree. Our teachers graduated from some of the most prestigious universities in the world, including University of Cambridge, Rice University, University of California, Berkeley, etc.

在新的學(xué)年，我們迎來(lái)了新的校長(zhǎng)，新的老師以及新的同學(xué)。2020-21學(xué)年教學(xué)團(tuán)隊(duì)共121人，含外教71人。老師們均擁有其所教授科目的學(xué)位，其中擁有博士學(xué)位7人（8%），碩士學(xué)位47人（54%），本科學(xué)位33人（38%），畢業(yè)院校包括劍橋大學(xué)、萊斯大學(xué)、加州大學(xué)伯克利分校等。

Curriculum in BIPH is the same as that in BASIS Curriculum Schools, which provides the students with a rigorous, accelerated, and advanced curriculum. In addition, we have a group of passionate and caring teachers with outstanding academic background. With the spirit of Humanism and critical thinking, we take STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) as our core curriculum, emphasizes liberal arts and in-depth learning in order to encourage the children to work hard, challenge themselves and surpass the limit.

華潤(rùn)小徑灣貝賽思國(guó)際學(xué)校與所有BASIS課程體系學(xué)校保持課程設(shè)置高度一致，為孩子提供嚴(yán)格、加速、超前的課程體系和學(xué)術(shù)背景超強(qiáng)、富有激情、關(guān)愛(ài)學(xué)生的教師團(tuán)隊(duì)。在人文主義精神、思辨性思維見(jiàn)長(zhǎng)的美式教育中，BASIS堅(jiān)持將STEM（科學(xué)、技術(shù)、工程、數(shù)學(xué)）作為核心課程并強(qiáng)調(diào)文理兼修，要求學(xué)生深度鉆研知識(shí)，同時(shí)鼓勵(lì)孩子刻苦學(xué)習(xí)、挑戰(zhàn)自己、超越極限。

House system is the core system in our boarding environment. The idea behind the system is to have our students take ownership of their boarding life. Students here are encouraged to speak out for themselves regarding their houses. They are also given the rights to participate in the management of each house.

學(xué)院制是華潤(rùn)小徑灣貝賽思國(guó)際學(xué)校特色住宿文化的核心制度。在該制度下，各學(xué)院采取以學(xué)生為核心的住宿管理理念，鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生為所屬學(xué)院的發(fā)展建言獻(xiàn)策、給予學(xué)生參與管理學(xué)院事務(wù)的權(quán)利。

BIPH has a highly-qualified dorm management team, which is led by an experienced Boarding Director and 32 dorm parents. All dorm parents hold a bachelor’s degree, and about 50% of them hold a master’s degree. They studied in a variety of fields including education, psychology, biology and etc. Our dorm parents and most faculty members live on campus meaning that our students are able to receive support in the five-day boarding environment.

學(xué)校配備了高素質(zhì)的宿舍導(dǎo)師團(tuán)隊(duì)，團(tuán)隊(duì)成員33人，其中約50%具有碩士學(xué)歷，100%具有本科學(xué)歷，所學(xué)專業(yè)涵蓋教育學(xué)、心理學(xué)、生物學(xué)等多個(gè)學(xué)科。全體宿舍導(dǎo)師分別與住宿生同住于男女生宿舍樓，學(xué)校的大部分任課教師也住在校內(nèi)，可以說(shuō)，住宿生們可以在其五日寄宿生活中時(shí)刻得到所需的任何支持。

The Global Excellence Student Scholarship Program is a long-term project for students applying to enter G9 at BIPH. The program accepts applications from students across the world. This scholarship program began in the 2018-2019 school year. Once awarded, students will be exempted from four years of tuition and boarding fees – a total of 1,024,000 RMB (based on 2020-2021 school year tuition and fees) as long as they maintain established school standards. BASIS Global & Ascend International Education Group will award twenty-five 9th grade students each year. Once established, the program will run for twenty years. After four years of immersion in study and guidance given by the highest quality teachers in BIPH Upper School, they will most assuredly achieve competitive results as well as gain critical thinking ability that will allow them to enter top-notch universities in both the United States and around the world.

The Global Excellence Students Scholarship Program was initially established at BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour in the 2018-19 school year. The program was then established in other BASIS schools later on. After the pre-screening, the multi-subject assessment, the debate competition and an interview, these students stood out among others with their superb English language skills, excellent learning abilities and outstanding leadership skills.

Daniel Li, one of the scholarship students, received an EA offer from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Daniel is very talented in mathematics, and he continues to work hard to develop his math skills. He excelled in Math competitions such as AMC12, AIME and USAMO (American Olympic Mathematics Competition). In 2019 and 2020, he was twice invited to join in MOP (Mathematical Olympiad Program, about 60 people). And in the internal competitions, he was selected to join the TST (top 30 students will be selected for IMO).

華潤(rùn)小徑灣貝賽思國(guó)際學(xué)校其中一位獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金獲得者Daniel Li，在11年級(jí)獲得了MIT（麻省理工學(xué)院）早申錄取EA Offer。Daniel極具數(shù)學(xué)天賦，且持續(xù)努力不斷發(fā)掘天賦。在校期間，他在AMC12，AIME和USAMO（美國(guó)奧林匹克數(shù)學(xué)競(jìng)賽）等競(jìng)賽中表現(xiàn)優(yōu)異，兩次獲邀參加MOP（美國(guó)奧林匹克集訓(xùn)隊(duì)，約60人），并在內(nèi)部競(jìng)賽中，進(jìn)入TST（美國(guó)IMO選拔隊(duì)前30人）。

Kenny Cho won three gold medals, one silver medal and two bronze medals in the United States Academic Decathlon. Aaron Zhang won two bronze medals. BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour stood out and received the highest total score out of over 200 outstanding schools in China.

Kenny Cho在美國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)十項(xiàng)全能（USAD）中國(guó)區(qū)比賽中，獲得三面金牌、一面銀牌及兩面銅牌，Aaron Zhang也獲得了兩面銅牌，我校在參賽的200所全國(guó)頂尖學(xué)校中脫穎而出，獲得團(tuán)體總分第一的成績(jī)。

Kenny Cho, Jack Xiao and others scored a perfect score in the math contest held by University of Waterloo. BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour stood out among over 650 schools from around the world, ranking first in the world.

Mido Sang received an award of High Commendation in the category of Theology from the John Locke Essay Competition.
