喜報(bào)！AIC亞加達(dá)國(guó)際預(yù)科學(xué)子在滑鐵盧數(shù)學(xué)競(jìng)賽成績(jī)喜人！

我校數(shù)學(xué)科主任Scott Wiens說(shuō)：“我們?yōu)锳IC所有參與這項(xiàng)精彩賽事的學(xué)子感到驕傲。每一次參與數(shù)學(xué)活動(dòng)都是讓自己成長(zhǎng)的機(jī)會(huì)，AIC做得好！”

近日，AIC部分同學(xué)參加了由加拿大滑鐵盧大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系的加拿大數(shù)學(xué)與計(jì)算機(jī)中心(CEMC)舉辦的2021年數(shù)學(xué)競(jìng)賽。

Recently, AIC students participated in the 2021 Mathematics contests conducted by the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing at the University of Waterloo Math Contests.

該項(xiàng)競(jìng)賽從1963年起，至今已有57年歷史。

The competition has been 57 years since 1963.

在團(tuán)隊(duì)比賽中，每個(gè)參賽班級(jí)得分最高的3名學(xué)生的成績(jī)，會(huì)被用作計(jì)算團(tuán)隊(duì)分。

In the team competition, the top 3 scoring students from each class contribute to the team score.

在我校參賽者中，PDP3年級(jí)同學(xué)組成的團(tuán)隊(duì)表現(xiàn)最為突出，讓AIC在該組別（加拿大以外）的參賽學(xué)校中，成績(jī)名列在前19%的位置。我們祝賀PDP3年級(jí)同學(xué)！

Team PDP3 won top honors at our school, placing AIC in the top 19% of participating schools (outside of Canada). Congratulations TEAM PDP3!

從個(gè)人參賽表現(xiàn)看，AIC有3位同學(xué)的成績(jī)位列全球參賽者成績(jī)前25％的位置。

As individuals, 3 AIC students placed in the top 25% of all participating students, worldwide.

我校Bryan同學(xué)成績(jī)名列全球前10％，Linda同學(xué)的成績(jī)排在前15％的位置，還有Irene同學(xué)也獲得了全球排名前20％的好成績(jī)。這幾位同學(xué)均獲得了滑鐵盧大學(xué)頒發(fā)的杰出表現(xiàn)證書。

These are Bryan (top 10%) Linda (top 15%) and Irene (top 20%). They have been awarded Certificates of Distinction from the University of Waterloo.

我校數(shù)學(xué)科主任Scott Wiens說(shuō)：“我們?yōu)锳IC所有參與這項(xiàng)精彩賽事的學(xué)子感到驕傲。每一次參與數(shù)學(xué)活動(dòng)都是讓自己成長(zhǎng)的機(jī)會(huì)，AIC做得好！”
